Sandiaga Uno’s Visit To Omah Batik Losari
Whilst wearing sports clothes with jogging shoes, in between running sports, Sandiaga Uno took the time to visit Omah Batik Losari to see batik activities and talk with the Head of Production and batik makers on August 14, 2020.
The existence of one of the owners of the Resort and Spa in Losari Village, Grabag District, Magelang, Central Java, is to see the development of MSMEs (UMKM) in the village.
During his visit, Sandi Uno, as he is called, asked about the sales results of Batik Losari in the midst of the pandemic, which Maria Indra acknowledged as the Head of Production, has been decreasing. However, this does not make the enthusiasm of the batik makers fade, it actually increases their creativity.
Seeing the batik that is being made by one of the batik makers, Sandy stated that the batik that is the hallmark of Losari Village must be preserved. Because if not, the younger generation will not know Batik Losari. He also said that he would help develop Losari Batik through the OK OCE program. The program itself, created by Sandi, aims to create entrepreneurial-based jobs in Indonesia with the concept of a sharing economy.
